About
A Russian legend — the first to popularize and organize competitive Splegg in the first place. Widely considered the best player of 2015-16, full stop: he'd end most opponents in a few seconds flat and dominated everything he touched. He sadly gave more of himself to organizing the scene than to playing in it. Helped STA get off the ground, then co-organized and promoted Splegg Major 2018, stepping into only his 2nd tournament ever — after two years away — just to draw more players in. Probably the furthest any player has ever pulled away from 2nd place: the Paul Morphy of Splegg. Also remembered as unfailingly professional, friendly, sharp, and always good for a meme — all while holding the line on competitive integrity and trying to bring the scene closer together. Splegg Hall of Fame — 2014, 2015, 2016. Seen by many as the GOAT, definitely top 1/2 from 2014-2016.
