  1. Jul 2013

    Splegg releases on HiveMC

Splegg launches alongside One in the Chamber, roughly 5 months after Hive opened to the public.

    ▸ More detail

20 lobbies were available at launch and stayed full around the clock — Hive raised that to 40 just 4 days later. The earliest maps were a single flat layer with 4 jump-pads; within a week, the classic layered clay maps that defined the game for years (TreeFiddy, PetalPower, Saturn, and others) started getting added.

  2. Jul 2013

First Splegg #1 and first clan war

NuuchEhm becomes the first player to hold the top leaderboard spot, and her clan Vegas Finest wins Splegg's first clan war, 3-2 over Eggcellent.

    ▸ More detail

An unofficial leaderboard had gone up about a week after release, and dozens of players cycled through the #1 spot before Nuuch held it for a real stretch. She and lemons43 had founded Vegas Finest just a week after launch — it soon merged into a clan called Vex (later renamed Infinite).

  3. Sep 2013

    Ironman2483 takes the leaderboard lead

Overtakes Beast523 and Shingblad, who'd been trading the top spot after Nuuch's first retirement.

  4. Oct 2013

  9. Sep 2014

The 1.8 update lands to a rocky reception

Lag, bugged textures, and losing your spot at the top of tab make it deeply unpopular at first — about half the playerbase just stays on 1.7, which Hive ends up tolerating.

  10. Dec 2014

    Demon2921 ends the Ironman2483 era
